School Improvement Workshop

Each year, the Rio Americano Site Council and Rio PTSA join together to provide the School Improvement Workshop.  The Workshop is designed to provide the entire Rio Community including students, parents, teachers and staff the opportunity to make suggestions for improvement of Rio Americano.  Suggestions can cover areas such as facilities, curriculum, leadership, culture, assessment and student personal and academic growth.

Members of the Rio Community gather for a short evening of discussion, the sharing of ideas and then prioritizing those thoughts for that school year.  Each participant has several opportunities in a small group setting to suggest their ideas in a positive way.  All ideas are noted and then prioritized by each small group with voting.  Below you’ll find the results of our recent School Improvement Workshop.

If you’d like to become more involved, we welcome your attendance at our monthly Rio Site Council and Rio PTSA meetings with the monthly dates show on the calendar here .

You can find more information regarding these groups and more on our website under Rio Parent Booster Organizations and Site Council.
