PTSA/OneRio Meeting Wed., 2/13 @ 6 & 7pm Rio Library
Why should you come?
Because you could win a Quick Quack Car Wash! Four will be given away in a raffle from signed-in attendees!
Because we need help! After founding and running OneRio for 5 years, OneRio Chair, Kelli Wheeler, is retiring! (Read: last kid is graduating.) Sonya Satori, mother of a Rio freshman, has stepped up to Chair OneRio for the 2019/20 school year along with co-chair Alana Trout, also a mother of a freshman.
However, they are going to need a committee who will help make sure all the #GreatThingsAreHappeningAtRio continue. Come to the meeting at 6pm to see how you can be invloved.
Because you will be informed. Being an active member of the PTSA is a wonderful way to be involved and is a direct pipeline of communication between administration, staff, and students. PTSA is the ONLY group on campus that supports the entire Rio commumity.
PTSA stands for Parents, Teachers, Students (and I’m going to say the A stands for Adminsitration). It takes us all to make sure our Rio community is the best it can be. Coming to a PTSA/OneRio meeting is an opportunity to get involved, get informed, get answers, ask questions (Principal Ginter is at every meeting!), and be inspired.
We all have busy schedules. No one is looking for another meeting to attend. But is an hour or two one night a month too much to ask for and from our Rio students, staff, and parents? There are nearly 2,000 students in Rio right now – that’s heavy lifting if only our 12 PTSA executive board members and our principal shows up.
Many hands make light work and a high tide raises all boats – let’s rise together. #GreatThingsAreHappeningAtRio
Still can’t attend but want to be informed? There is now a PTSA tab at OneRio.orgthat will be udpated with Minutes from the monthly meetings, latest news, and committee positions open.
