 Rio Wreaths Fundraiser

Rio’s PTSA is selling fresh Holiday Evergreens again this year as a fundraising project.  We would appreciate it if you would please take a minute to look over our website HERE. Our sale is ongoing through November 5th.

Wreath products range from $22-$75. The proceeds from our sale will assist the many programs offered by the PTSA.

We’re offering evergreens to decorate your own home and also the opportunity to send a Gift Item across the country or across town.  Please spread the word about our sale to your friends, neighbors, and family as well!  We appreciate your help with our sales drive.

Wreaths will be available for pick-up (unless you pay for the delivery option) the week after Thanksgiving Break (Nov. 26-30) after school in front of school 3-5pm (exact dates TBA).

Please contact Suzanne Cook at suzcook@surewest.net for assistance in ordering or to answer any questions.

SJUSD had instituted new graduation requirements for the Class of 2023. In order to accommodate these requirements Rio Americano will be considering a schedule change for next year (ultimately to be decided by teacher vote in January) that will be one of the following:Block Schedule
Stays Same

However, parent and student input is valued especially since the new A-G Requirements for all will deeply impact being able to take electives like Band, Student Government, and art classes. THE LAST Parent/Student Schedule Discussion Meeting is on Nov. 28 hosted by Principal Ginter. It will start at 6pm in the PAC. Come find out the facts and be a part of the decision making process.

Rio Robotics Needs Your Help Gearing Up for the Tournament Season (Literally!)Note from Rio Robotics: Please consider donating to our non-profit, we need your support! During our most recent season the team was able to qualify for the World Championships in Houston with only a small budget of $2,000 for the robot yet we were able to compete with teams that had budgets of up to $250,000. We had to use a base kit that FIRST provided with only a single-speed drive train, which limited our ability to compete with teams that had $500 multi-speed drive trains. Any help would be greatly appreciated because we would love to go back to the world championships next year. Rio Americano has a great team and the only thing we are missing is financial support. Thank you!
