If you’ve already bought your lucky ducks, please have your student copy and paste the letter below into an email to family and family friends (or do your own for co-workers!) to offer them a chance win $3,500 in cash prizes while helping continue to make sure #GreatThingsAreHappeningAtRio!

Rio Alum Being Honored at An Evening With The Stars!

The San Juan Education Foundation last October funded $27,850 in teacher grants – including one that helped our Graphic Arts teacher, John Feld, get a state-of-the-art printer for the department.

One of the ways they raise money for these grants is An Evening With The Stars which inducts SJUSD grads into the STARS Hall of Fame. One of this year’s inductees is Rio alum and author, Shanthi Skaran.

As part of the theme, Empowered Women:Inspiring the Next Generation,Rio ASB President, Whitney Wheeler, will also be a part of the program.

An Evening With The Stars is on Friday, September 28, featuring a formal catered dinner at The Center at 2300 in honor of STARS Hall of Fame inductees to raise money for San Juan Unified School District schools. Other honorees include Diane Bryant, former Google Cloud COO and Intel Group President, Shannon Callahan, Navy Pilot, and and Dr. Heidi Wittenberg, surgeon.
