Today 4/21: 2nd Annual Rio Golf Tournament @ Hagen Oaks Golf Complex 12-5pm. Foursomes are already set but that doesn’t mean you can’t join the putting contest or stop by for games, cocktails or dinner! Proceeds support Rio sports.

Tonight 4/21: ILS in Wonderland dance 6-8pm in Rio cafeteria with live music by our own Rio band! Cost: $5 Helping Independent Learning Skills students have a magical night: Priceless! Proceeds support Rio ILS program.

Saturday 4/22: Innaugural Rio Hall of Fame 3:30pm @ The Center 2300 Sierra Blvd. Please join our newest effort to honor and recognize Rio alumni with 10 inductees including swimming Olympic medalist, Debbie Meyer. Sunday 4/23: Race for the Stars 5K/Kids Run @ Rio Americano HS 8am. $10 of every adult and $5 of every child registration will go back to Rio through the San Juan Education Foundation. Registration still open and includes T-shirt: http://www.raceforthestars.com/

Friday 4/28 SpringFest 2017! It’s Friday Festival time and we’re dusting off the BBQ on Friday, April 28 for a lunchtime SpringFest! In the Quad there will be a full hour lunch with BBQ beef hamburgers or turkey hot dogs with fruit, chips, and milk for $3.50 (or student ID for lunch programs). There will also be Crazy for Yogurt for $3 and last chance to buy your class shirts for $15. There will be DJ music hosted by Rio students Blake Harris and Brandon Collins along with a performance by the Rio Pacific Islanders Club! So bust out those shorts and shades and bring a towel to picnic on for SpringFest 2017

Our new all-weather track and field is being installed Summer of 2018, but the Rio Athletic Fields committee is raising money to make sure all sports facilities are properly furbished and ready to best support Rio athletes and fans.
